Math Tune - Up: Make Your Math Curriculum Work for Special Needs StudentsiRi provides an effective two-step process that enables schools or districts to improve the quality of their math programs for Special Needs students. We will help you upgrade your mathematics curriculum and instruction to yield dramatic increases in all Special Needs students’ math achievement. Step 1: Assess current curriculum and instructional practices based on such factors as appropriateness for your Special Needs student population, rigor, conceptual foundation, standards-alignment, best practices, teacher readiness and quality, and student performance. Step 2: Optimize curriculum and develop related professional learning plans co-designed by iRi’s Mathematics Specialists and your district Mathematics leaders and Special Needs supervisors. Curriculum and development plans will emphasize concept development and mastery of core challenging topics. Both will be fully aligned with National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and state standards. Plans also will fulfill regulations and include best practices for successful Individualized Enrichment Plans (IEPs) and Responses to Intervention (RTI). |
