Wiedmann has more than 30 years of experience in the field of education. He has taught at the elementary, middle school, high school, and college levels. He is also a former educational program director, having managed the implementation, marketing, and operation of graduate courses, masters degree programs, national conferences, regional seminars and training workshops for educators.

Wiedmann collaborates with school districts to provide professional development programs and services which meet the unique needs of their teaching and student populations. In this capacity, he also develops field-based graduate degree program cohorts. Over the past 18 years Bob has worked with teachers, administrators, and directors from over 450 school districts, regional offices of education, and Intermediate Service Centers across Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, and Wisconsin. He has single-handedly developed over 300 masters degree program cohorts.

Wiedmann has a special interest in the power of collaborative cohort degree programs. He believes in the potential of a degree program cohort to transform from a classroom in the short-term into an ongoing, lifelong professional learning community.
